Who writes KuryoNews

KuryoNews is written and edited by the KuryoNews Team. Every article is read, fact-checked and edited by a person before it is published. Each article shows its author, the date it was published, and the news organisations its reporting is based on.

Where our stories come from

KuryoNews does not carry out original news-gathering. Our stories are based on reporting by established news organisations. Each article names its sources in a "Sources" line, so you can see where the story began. We rewrite those stories in clear, age-appropriate language for children aged 7 to 12.

How we check what we publish

• We fact-check every story against more than one source before it goes live.
• We choose stories that are suitable for children, and explain them without frightening detail or unnecessary complexity.
• Each article includes a "How we know it's true" section that explains to children why they can trust the story.
• We keep a clear line between what happened and what people think about it.

Fresh, dated stories

We publish new articles every day. Every article shows the date it was published, including the year.

Corrections and complaints

If you think a story is wrong, unclear or not suitable for children, please tell us. Every article has a "Flag for review" option, and you can also email us. We look at every report. Depending on the problem, we may correct or rewrite the article, or remove it altogether.
